Dramatic rescue of 10-month-old who survived Israeli airstrikes in Rafah

At least 45 people were killed and more than 200 others injured in the strike, most of them women and children

Rescuers in the city of Rafah, southern Gaza, have pulled a baby girl alive from the rubble after an Israeli airstrike demolished her family's home

The Wafa news agency, quoting the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS), said that many of the victims were women and children.

The Israeli military said it had targeted a Hamas weapons storage facility in Rafah, but that it was investigating reports of civilian casualties.

The airstrike came as Israeli forces pressed their offensive in Gaza, which has now entered its third week.

The United Nations has called for an immediate ceasefire, but both Israel and Hamas have rejected the call.
